Professional leak investigation can reduce uncertainty before excavation, but no method can guarantee a result in every pipeline or site condition.
Does a high water bill always mean an underground leak?
Not necessarily. Increased water use, a toilet that keeps refilling or an overflowing tank can also raise the bill. Check these first before assuming the underground pipe is leaking.
Can you guarantee that you will find the leak?
We cannot guarantee that every leak can be found. Results depend on the pipe, water pressure, depth, access, pipe-route information and background noise. We explain any uncertainty in our findings.
Does the service include digging and pipe repairs?
Not by default. LeakPinpoint’s standard service focuses on specialist investigation and suspected-location marking where the evidence supports it. The customer’s appointed contractor normally excavates, confirms the physical pipe condition and carries out the repair.
What do you need before preparing a quotation?
Start with the location, property type and the problem. For factory or management projects, add any pipe drawings, length, material and pressure records you have. Tell us when a detail is unknown rather than guessing.
What should management check if the main water meter keeps moving?
Check whether tanks are filling, toilets or float valves are leaking, irrigation is running or other shared facilities are using water. Record the meter readings and the time. Any shared-supply shutdown must be authorised and safe.
What information helps when the jockey pump starts frequently?
Send the normal pressure, the pressure at pump start and stop, and how often the pump starts. Add any pipe drawings and recent pressure-test records. Only authorised site staff should operate the fire system.
What happens if the result is unclear?
We explain what limited the inspection and what could help next, such as better pipe drawings, more access points or a quieter inspection time. Any further work and charges must follow the agreed quotation or a separate agreement.
Do you use the same equipment for every job?
No. We choose suitable equipment after reviewing the pipe, pressure, access and noise. One method may work well at one site but not at another.
