LeakPinpoint is the specialist underground leak detection service of Northern Region Leak Detection Services (SSM Registration No. 201703228080).

Information we may receive

When you contact us or submit a Request an Assessment form, we may receive your name, company or management name, telephone number, email address, project location, Google Maps link and the technical information you choose to provide.

Project information may include water-meter observations, pressure and pump information, pipeline details, photographs, videos, drawings, repair records and links to files. We may also keep relevant records of communication by website form, email, telephone or WhatsApp.

Providing information and your choices

Providing information is generally voluntary. Information marked as required in the form is the basic information LeakPinpoint needs to process an Assessment Request. If you do not provide the necessary information, we may be unable to assess the enquiry, respond to you, prepare a quotation or arrange an inspection.

You may choose not to submit the form, leave out information that is not required, limit the permission for an external file link, or contact LeakPinpoint to request that processing be restricted or to withdraw your consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before the withdrawal. Some information may still be retained where reasonably needed for business, transaction or legal records.

Submitting information does not automatically confirm a quotation, appointment or inspection date.

Why we use this information

We use the information to respond to an enquiry, assess whether the project may be suitable for our service, prepare a quotation, arrange an inspection, carry out the agreed service, keep a record of communication and meet reasonable business or legal record-keeping needs.

Customer information is not used for direct marketing unless the customer gives separate and explicit consent. Please provide only information that is relevant to the enquiry or project.

Who may handle the information

Information is handled only to the extent reasonably needed to assess the project, coordinate site work or provide the website and email services used for the enquiry. This may involve relevant LeakPinpoint staff, working partners involved in the project, or service providers that support those functions.

LeakPinpoint does not sell customer personal information.

Protection and retention

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information under our control. No website, email or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so customers should avoid sending information that is not needed for the enquiry.

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry or project, maintain necessary business, transaction or legal records, or meet applicable legal requirements. The appropriate period depends on the nature and status of the enquiry or work.

Website analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how people use the website and which pages or enquiry actions are useful. Analytics events may include the page path, the type of enquiry selected and the location of a website call-to-action.

We do not intentionally send customer names, telephone numbers, email addresses, precise Google Maps locations, form notes, pressure information or file links to Google Analytics.

Links to customer-controlled files

If you share a Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or other external file link, you control the sharing permission for that link. Check the permission before sending it and restrict access when it is no longer needed. The external service operates under its own terms and privacy practices.

Access, correction and deletion requests

You may contact LeakPinpoint to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct information that is inaccurate, to request deletion, to restrict processing or to withdraw consent. We will consider the request in light of the enquiry or project status and any information that must reasonably be retained for business, transaction or legal records.
