What can make leak detection harder?
Very small leaks, low water pressure, deeply buried pipes, heavy traffic, machinery noise, unclear pipe routes, limited access and multiple leaks can make detection harder.
No method can guarantee that every leak will be located. If the result is inconclusive, we explain why and discuss the next practical step.

Check These Possible Causes First
A high water bill does not always mean an underground pipe leak
Check toilets that keep refilling, tank overflow and recent changes in water use. If the meter still moves when known water use has stopped, tell us what you observed.
If your home has a water storage tank, close its inlet valve before checking the water meter, but only if you are authorised and it is safe to do so. Contact us first if you are unsure which valve to close.
