How the inspection works

3. Choose suitable listening points — The method depends on the pipe, pressure, surface and surrounding noise.
4. Compare the route — We listen at several suitable points and repeat checks to narrow the area.
5. Mark and explain — When the findings are clear enough, we mark the suspected location and explain the excavation recommendation.

What can affect the inspection

Very small leaks, plastic pipes, low pressure, deep burial, heavy traffic, machinery noise, uncertain pipe routes, limited access and more than one leak can make the work more difficult.

No method can guarantee that every leak will be located. If the result is inconclusive, we explain why and discuss the next practical step.

How we prepare a residential quotation

The quotation depends on the property type, location, accessible pipe route, symptoms, expected inspection time and travel requirements. A terrace house, semi-detached house and large bungalow may require different work even when the symptoms sound similar.
