Shared community water-distribution system

Shared Water Pipe Leak Investigation at Taman Naluri Indah

Management noticed unexplained water movement on a shared community supply serving garden taps and a clubhouse. LeakPinpoint reviewed the system, compared several listening points and narrowed the search to a suspected area before the appointed contractor excavated and repaired the pipe.

Management notices unexplained water movement

Management reported unexplained water movement within the shared community supply serving garden taps and a clubhouse. LeakPinpoint was appointed to inspect the accessible underground route, compare several listening points and narrow the area before excavation.

Reviewing the system

The available meter information and shared-supply arrangement helped define the area that needed to be checked. The meter photographs were kept as part of the project record while the investigation moved to the field.

Comparing listening points

Several accessible points were checked and compared before attention was focused on the strongest consistent response. The checks were then repeated at a later comparison point.

Narrowing and marking the suspected area

After comparing the route, LeakPinpoint narrowed the search to a smaller area. The suspected location was marked so the appointed contractor had a clear place to begin careful excavation.

The surface mark was intended to guide careful excavation and did not represent a guaranteed exact break position.

Excavation exposes the pipe

The appointed contractor opened the marked area. Excavation exposed water-affected ground, the underground pipe and the relevant fitting, confirming that the investigated area required repair.

Customer feedback after repair.

Following the pipe repair, the management reported that the water meter was working normally again.

Technical limitations

Some technical details, including the exact leak rate, pipe specification and original defect type, were not independently documented and are therefore not stated.
